STEM on Track is a world-class, hands-on STEM program where young people design, build, and drive their own electric go-kart — while learning the science, technology, engineering and maths behind every component. Delivered by GreenSTEM Education, this transformative international program is now available in Australia for the very first time — right here on the North West Coast of Tasmania!

We are incredibly proud to partner with our great friends at Espire Education in the UK — the founders and global leaders of STEM on Track — to bring this exciting opportunity to Burnie and beyond.

• 💻 12 Months of Online Access
  Explore gamified STEM learning modules covering physics, engineering, maths, kart mechanics, and more — accessible anytime, anywhere. 
• 🔩 18 Weekly Hands-On Sessions
  Held across 6 months during school terms (excluding public holidays and select dates). Young people work together to build and fine-tune their go-kart at each session. 
• 🏁 Grand Finale
  Celebrate the program’s completion with an epic driving event at the, where participants drive the kart they’ve built. 
• 🎽 STEM on Track Merchandise Pack
  All participants receive an exclusive GreenSTEM Education STEM on Track merch pack.
   

STEM on Track is open to students in Grades 5–10. It’s designed for all skill levels — whether you're new to STEM or already passionate about engineering, coding, or design.

This is a perfect entry point into practical STEM learning, and a fantastic launchpad into other GreenSTEM Education programs such as Greenpower and FIRST LEGO League.

Through STEM on Track, participants build more than just a kart — they build future-ready skills in:

• Teamwork – Collaborating to assemble and test the kart 
• Creativity – Designing bodywork and branding elements 
• Problem Solving – Overcoming mechanical and engineering challenges 
• Leadership – Taking initiative, making decisions, and guiding peers

• Time: 4:00 PM – 6:00 PM 
• Location: The Makers Technology & Innovation Hub, Burnie 
• Duration: 18 sessions over 6 months (school terms only)
   

• Cost: $825 (incl. GST) per participant
