
STEM Unlimited is GreenSTEM Education’s free after-school STEM program, providing young people with access to world-class tools, technologies, and opportunities—regardless of the school they attend.
Sessions run every Tuesday from 3:30pm to 6:00pm at The Makers Technology & Innovation Hub, located at the University of Tasmania Cradle Coast Campus in Burnie.
This is a space where young people can explore their interests, build real skills, and engage in authentic STEM pathways—completely free of charge.

Students can participate in FIRST LEGO League, working in teams to design, build and program robots while solving real-world challenges.
GreenSTEM teams have achieved outstanding success, including qualification for National Championships in consecutive years.
Students can engage in Greenpower Australia through the Goblin category—designing, building and racing electric vehicles.
This provides a powerful introduction to engineering, teamwork and motorsport, with pathways into more advanced programs.
Students design and develop their own video games, learning programming, art, sound design and interactive systems using industry-relevant tools.
Participants learn computer-aided design (CAD) and bring ideas to life through 3D printing—developing real-world skills in design, prototyping and engineering.
Students explore their own ideas through science investigations and engineering challenges, including projects for competitions and events.
STEM Unlimited is open to young people from Grades 4–10, from any school or education setting—including public, private and home education.
The program is designed for students of all abilities, backgrounds and experience levels. Whether someone is completely new to STEM or already highly experienced, there are opportunities to get involved, build skills and be challenged.
